About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Solar Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for educating potential customers about solar energy solutions, conducting assessments, and guiding them through the installation process. As a Solar Consultant, you will play a crucial role in promoting renewable energy and helping customers make informed decisions that benefit both their homes and the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential customers through door-to-door sales and community outreach initiatives.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of customer properties to determine the suitability for solar installation.
  • Present customized solar solutions tailored to meet individual customer needs and preferences.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities using our industry leading software developed in house at Glyde.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers post-installation, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, product offerings, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate with clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in technical or outside sales environments.
  • Familiarity with door-to-door sales strategies is highly desirable.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
  • Multilingual or bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are encouraged to apply as this will enhance communication with diverse clientele.
  • Experience using solar CRMs or similar software is a plus.
  • A passion for renewable energy and sustainability is essential for success in this role.
