As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding potential customers through the process of converting from traditional energy sources to solar power, emphasizing the benefits of energy cost savings, environmental impact, and increased home value. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. You will work closely with both potential and existing customers, educating them on the advantages of solar energy and addressing any concerns they may have. Your efforts will be supported by our top-notch operations and installation teams, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients. You will have the opportunity to create leads through door-to-door outreach, as well as utilize company-provided leads and appointments. As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will also participate in team campaigns, including door-to-door initiatives and community events, to further expand our reach and impact. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with potential and current customers to facilitate the transition to solar energy.
  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings and increased home value.
  • Own the sales process from lead acquisition to closing the sale.
  • Self-generate leads through door-to-door outreach and referrals.
  • Utilize company-provided leads and appointments to supplement sales efforts.
  • Attend and pass applicable sales training to effectively communicate proposals during in-home presentations.
  • Participate in team campaigns, including door-to-door initiatives and community events.
  • Regularly cultivate new business through cold calling and pursuing company leads.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce, is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Technical sales experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome; no prior experience needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation to meet clients and attend events.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or negotiation (1 year preferred).
  • Familiarity with the solar industry is a plus but not necessary.
