As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding potential and current customers through the process of converting from traditional energy sources to solar power. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their careers in sales while making a difference in the world. In this role, you will be responsible for educating homeowners about the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental impact, and the potential increase in home value. You will own the sales process from lead generation to closing, supported by our exceptional operations and installation teams. Your responsibilities will include self-generating leads through door-to-door outreach, as well as utilizing company-provided leads and appointments. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you are well-equipped to succeed in this booming industry, which has seen significant growth in recent years. Responsibilities

  • Work closely with potential and current customers to facilitate the transition to solar energy.
  • Educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings and increased home value.
  • Own the sales process from lead acquisition to closing.
  • Self-generate leads through door-to-door outreach and referrals.
  • Utilize company-provided leads and appointments to supplement sales efforts.
  • Attend industry-leading training sessions and sales meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Participate in team campaigns, including door-to-door sales and presentations at events.

Requirements

  • Must attend and pass applicable sales training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate proposals during in-home presentations.
  • Reliable transportation is a must.
  • Access to a laptop or iPad for presentations.
  • Willingness to cultivate new business through cold calling and pursuing company leads.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
  • Previous experience in technical sales or management.
