About the position

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Solar Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for educating potential customers about solar energy solutions, guiding them through the sales process, and helping them make informed decisions about their energy needs. Your expertise in energy sales and customer service will be essential in building strong relationships and driving sales growth in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to assess their energy needs and provide tailored solar solutions.
  • Generate leads through various channels, including networking, referrals, and community events.
  • Present solar products and services to potential customers, highlighting the benefits of solar energy.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  • Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage customer interactions and track sales progress.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes related to solar energy.
  • Collaborate with installation teams to ensure a seamless transition from sale to installation for customers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in energy sales, outside sales, or technical sales is preferred.
  • Familiarity with solar sales processes and renewable energy products is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software is advantageous.
  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly desirable to better serve our diverse customer base.
