About the position

Join Cleanstart as an In-Home Solar Sales Consultant and embark on a rewarding career in the thriving industry of sustainable energy solutions. In this role, you will engage directly with homeowners, educating them about the substantial benefits of solar energy, including cost savings and environmental impact. You will participate in a comprehensive 10-12 week paid training program designed to equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in this field. With the potential to earn between $90,000 and $120,000 in your first year, you will be supported by a competitive compensation package that includes bonuses and commissions. As a Solar Sales Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to engage with homeowners in person to discuss solar energy solutions and assess their needs. You will schedule appointments, educate homeowners on the benefits of solar energy, and guide them through the sales process from initial contact to closing the sale. Building and maintaining a network of customers through referrals and networking will be crucial, as will conducting thorough consultations and presentations to effectively communicate Cleanstart's offerings and value proposition. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and outcomes in our CRM system, represent Cleanstart with professionalism and integrity, and collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. Regular attendance at team meetings and training sessions will be necessary to stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to solar energy. Responsibilities

  • Engage with homeowners in person to discuss solar energy solutions and assess their needs.
  • Attend and schedule appointments with homeowners and educate them on the benefits of solar energy.
  • Answer any questions and concerns homeowners may have about converting to solar.
  • Lead homeowners through the sales process from initial contact to closing the sale.
  • Build and maintain a network of customers through referrals and networking.
  • Conduct thorough consultations and presentations to effectively communicate Cleanstart's offerings and value proposition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing ongoing support and assistance throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to solar energy.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and outcomes in our CRM system.
  • Represent Cleanstart with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sales is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact on the environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and sales techniques.
