About the position

Valley Solar, LLC., the largest independent solar contractor in Western Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Solar Sales Consultant to join our team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work with a reputable local installer known for its commitment to excellence in the solar industry. As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our diverse range of solar solutions, including roof-mounted systems, ground installations, tracking systems, residential and commercial setups, carports, battery systems, and EV chargers. While prior solar experience is preferred, it is not a strict requirement; we value sales expertise and a strong customer service background. In this role, you will benefit from a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and success. Valley Solar provides company-generated leads through effective advertising and referrals, allowing you to focus on closing deals and building lasting relationships with clients. Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell solar energy solutions to residential and commercial clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Generate leads through networking, referrals, and company-provided resources.
  • Conduct site assessments and consultations to determine customer needs.
  • Prepare and present proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage referrals and repeat business.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and product offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • 2 years of sales experience (required).
  • 2 years of experience in solar sales (preferred).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Valid Driver's License.
