About the position

The Solar industry is booming in Colorado, and Solarise, one of the largest solar companies in Southern Colorado, is now hiring motivated and independently driven individuals for its Solar Sales Consultant position. This role is essential for generating appointments and educating potential customers about the benefits of switching to solar energy. As a Solar Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for going door-to-door to set solar proposal reviews with potential customers, helping them understand how they can lower their current power bills through solar energy solutions. Customers will receive a $50 incentive for taking a look at a proposal, making it easier for you to engage with them without the pressure of hard closing sales tactics. In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn about the solar industry while generating your own leads. The company provides training to ensure you succeed in your role. The majority of our sales representatives have been with us for years, indicating a supportive and rewarding work environment. The compensation structure is based on a commission plan, with average representatives earning over $100,000 a year in commissions. Responsibilities

  • Knocking door to door to generate appointments with potential customers.
  • Setting appointments with customers to review their solar proposals.
  • Helping homeowners lower their current power bills through solar energy solutions.
  • Educating customers about the benefits of switching to solar energy.
  • Meeting with potential customers at their homes to review their energy consumption.
  • Generating prospective customer appointments for no upfront money solar switches.
  • Attending training meetings with sales leadership.

Requirements

  • Sales experience of at least 1 year is required.
  • Great communication skills are essential.
  • Previous door-to-door experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Physically able to work on your feet.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow up on tasks.
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and evolve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering superior customer service and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM software, particularly Salesforce.
