The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in bridging the business development and operations divisions to ensure that new solar projects are bid accurately and promptly. Responsibilities include supporting all business development efforts with sales proposals and cost savings analyses, using software like Helioscope and Energy Toolbase for preliminary designs and proposals. The Sales Engineer will coordinate and prepare subcontractor quotes, manage multiple ongoing projects, and maintain bidding deadlines. They will oversee new sales opportunities through the sales cycle, complete site visits, and ensure thorough documentation and compliance with financier requirements. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will research project requirements, manage preliminary site surveys, and work with the Director of Operations to finalize project schedules and estimates.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as Helioscope and Energy Toolbase.
  • Strong analytical skills for cost savings analyses and project evaluations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and subcontractors.
