About the position

The Financial Planning Analyst at Longroad Energy plays a crucial role in supporting the preparation and reporting of the annual operating plan within a rapidly growing renewable energy company. This position involves financial reporting, cash forecasting, and business analysis, contributing to the company's financial success and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support Annual Operating Plan Development by assisting in crafting and refining the plan with actionable analytics.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring clear communication to management and stakeholders.
• Oversee cash forecasting for wind and solar projects, providing timely updates.
• Engage in detailed forecasting processes, identifying business risks and opportunities.
• Provide financial and business planning support to internal and external customers.
• Coordinate with Accounting and Treasury teams to meet reporting requirements.
• Contribute to business analysis and ad-hoc financial modeling.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in financial or business analysis, including GAAP and cash budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant financial tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong quantitative, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Comfortable in a high-growth environment with evolving priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Financial Reporting Systems such as Hyperion or Sage Enterprise Intelligence.
• Understanding of renewable energy project economics, particularly wind, solar, and storage.
