About the position

As a Soldering Technician at United Safety and Survivability Corporation, you will play a crucial role in assembling products that ensure safety and survivability in commercial transportation. This position involves working in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where you will collaborate with a skilled team to meet production timelines and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include using hand tools, following detailed instructions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble all units within the timeline set and to customer satisfaction, using a variety of hand tools and equipment.
  • Pay attention to details throughout all stages of work to meet quality objectives and eliminate waste.
  • Check your work to ensure all aspects of the assembly are complete and correct.
  • Provide team with sufficient information and support to accomplish team goals.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workstation and assist in keeping the facility clean.
  • Work cooperatively with the assigned production team and assist other teams as needed.
  • Maintain the appropriate certification(s) for the assembly process and seek cross-training opportunities.
  • Observe all company rules and safety practices to promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with additional training in shop class, blueprint reading, welding, or machine shop preferred.
  • Ability to work with hands to build or repair things and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
  • Exceptional motor coordination and safe use of a variety of tools.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Experience performing basic shop math calculations (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, measuring, and converting decimals).
  • Some experience reading simple blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety policies.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
