About The Position

The Solid Waste Equipment Operator is responsible for operating light to heavy equipment in the Solid Waste Division, providing solid waste collection services, and ensuring compliance with regulations for both residential and commercial routes. This role requires semi-skilled activities and a commitment to safety and efficiency in waste management operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of full-time experience in sanitation, heavy truck, or construction equipment operations.
• Valid Arizona Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class B or higher.

Responsibilities

• Operate solid waste collection equipment, loaders, and forklifts.
• Provide solid waste collection services to residential and commercial areas.
• Educate the public on solid waste management practices.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for collection routes.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
