About the position

The Solids Control Operator is responsible for the rig up and rig down of solids control equipment, performing troubleshooting and minor repairs, and conducting analysis of equipment. This role requires effective communication with customers and team members, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to train other employees. The operator must also maintain a satisfactory driving record and be willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete Solids Control rig ups and rig downs.
• Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment.
• Conduct Solids Control Analysis of equipment.
• Execute electrical rig ups, rig downs, and minor repairs.
• Follow proper sampling procedures.
• Complete daily reports accurately.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Maintain satisfactory rig etiquette and a professional attitude.
• Train other employees successfully.
• Travel outside the hiring region if needed.
• Complete general labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Experience in solids control field or similar mechanical experience.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass background check, pre-placement physical, pulmonary function/FIT test, and substance abuse testing.
• Ability to operate or be trained to operate heavy equipment such as track hoe/back hoe safely.
• Ability to operate or be trained to operate existing solids control equipment and new technologies.
