About the position

The Solidworks Drafter is responsible for the detailing and drafting of various types of conveyors, including belt, screw, drag conveyors, and bucket elevators. This role requires maintaining direct contact with the design engineer to generate general arrangement and fabrication detail drawings for all equipment manufactured. The drafter will interact closely with the plant supervisor to ensure clarity during the fabrication process. Additionally, the drafter will work with the design engineer to produce drawings from sketches or existing images, create assembly and part details for fabrication, and assign part numbers to all assemblies. The position also involves providing final raw materials and buy-out lists to the purchasing department, ensuring that all files and records are complete and accessible. The Solidworks Drafter will collaborate with Operations, Sales/Marketing, and Administration to provide design and cost control, while also performing other duties as assigned. It is essential for the drafter to maintain confidentiality of all information processed throughout their work. This is a fully on-site position located in Saint Joseph, MO, and it requires a strong understanding of SolidWorks and mechanical drafting principles. The role is integral to the manufacturing process, ensuring that all designs are accurately represented and that the necessary materials are procured for production.

Responsibilities

  • Detailing and drafting of belt, screw, drag conveyors, and bucket elevators.
  • Maintaining direct contact with the design engineer to generate drawings.

  • Performing other duties as assigned while maintaining confidentiality.
