About the position

The Solution Advisor role within the SAP Academy for Customer Success is designed for individuals early in their careers who are eager to develop their skills in a customer-facing environment. This position is integral to the sales team, where the Solution Advisor acts as a subject matter expert, leveraging both functional and technical knowledge to assist customers in overcoming business challenges and achieving their objectives through SAP solutions. The role involves engaging in various activities such as participating in discovery sessions, leading executive meetings, and delivering compelling software demonstrations that highlight SAP's unique value proposition. As part of the SAP Academy, the Solution Advisor will undergo a comprehensive 10-month training program that emphasizes experiential learning and mentorship. This program is structured to provide participants with a robust foundation in SAP solutions, business processes, and industry knowledge. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from around the globe, gaining insights into emerging technologies and best practices. The training will also include on-the-job experiences under the guidance of senior Solution Advisors, allowing for real-world application of learned skills. Upon successful completion of the program, the Solution Advisor will be expected to lead customer discovery sessions, identify business challenges, and propose innovative solutions. They will also play a key role in demand generation through marketing events and support deal execution by responding to requests for proposals. The position requires knowledge in various SAP solution areas, including SAP Business and Technology Platform, SAP S/4 HANA Finance, SAP Digital Supply Chain, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Intelligent Spend and Business Network, and SAP Signavio. This diverse knowledge base will enable the Solution Advisor to effectively address customer needs and contribute to their digital transformation journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete a 10-month training program focused on customer-facing skills and SAP solutions.
  • Participate in experiential learning opportunities with global colleagues.
  • Receive mentorship from senior Solution Advisors while working with customers.
  • Lead customer discovery sessions to uncover business challenges and opportunities.
  • Create and deliver engaging software demonstrations to customers.
  • Provide demand generation support through marketing events.
  • Respond to requests for proposals and support deal execution.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of work experience with a strong foundation in technical and business processes.
  • Exposure to relevant technologies and solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Multi-dimensional experience including global exposure, leadership roles, or volunteerism.
  • Effective communication skills in English and local language.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills including empathy and a 'can-get-it-done' mentality.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholders and business functions.
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge of business processes and industries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in SAP solutions or similar technologies.
