About the position

The Technical Architect for the Loyalty platform at Marriott International will play a crucial role in defining and executing the technology future of the Loyalty program. This position involves modernizing the Core Loyalty and Loyalty Finance architecture to enhance business innovation and customer experience. The architect will collaborate across various domains to create integrated solutions that leverage modern technologies and ensure scalability, resilience, and security.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead architecture solutions for Loyalty projects to meet business objectives.
• Develop the future-state architecture for the Loyalty platform to enhance customer travel experiences.
• Create solutions and patterns for system and partner integration.
• Identify opportunities for reuse, migration, or retirement of existing systems.
• Evaluate current and emerging technology products and trends for the Loyalty platform.
• Develop reusable design patterns and best practices for the enterprise.
• Engage in IT Governance to promote solution compliance and consistency.
• Collaborate with business and IT resources to advance the Loyalty platform agenda.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a software/technical architect or technical engineering lead.
• Experience in large-scale digital transformations of legacy enterprise systems.
• Experience evaluating SaaS vendor solutions and integrating them within large enterprises.
• Ability to manage multiple solutions across various projects within tight timelines.
• 5+ years' experience with APIs, microservices, and event-based architectures.
• 5+ years' experience in building and deploying distributed applications in Cloud environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with Loyalty finance and accounting business processes.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering focused on enterprise business systems.
• Experience in documenting and communicating solution architectures to stakeholders.
• Experience in deploying business solutions in cloud environments.
