About The Position

AOT Technologies is looking for a Solution Architect – Financial Services to join their Consulting Services team. This role involves designing and delivering secure, scalable, and future-ready solutions for financial institutions. The company is a boutique consulting firm that partners with enterprises, startups, and governments to solve complex challenges in areas like business process management, automation and AI, cloud, and application development. AOT Technologies also develops products, including their flagship platform, formsflow.ai, a low-code solution for workflow automation, and offerings under the SLED360 umbrella for the government and education sectors.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, with significant recent experience delivering solutions within financial services (banking, insurance, fintech, or capital markets).
  • Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory and risk frameworks (OSFI, PIPEDA, FINTRAC, PCI-DSS) and familiarity with U.S. regulatory environments (SOX, GLBA, FFIEC) as an asset.
  • Experience architecting cloud-based and hybrid solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including microservices, APIs, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven expertise in secure architecture patterns, identity and access management, encryption strategies, and data governance in regulated environments.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with experience leading architecture workshops and engaging executive stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with core banking platforms, insurance policy systems, payments infrastructure, workflow automation, or AI-driven risk and analytics solutions is highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture across cloud transformation, core system modernization, digital banking platforms, workflow automation, AI, and data initiatives.
  • Design secure architectures aligned with Canadian regulatory frameworks (OSFI guidelines, PIPEDA, FINTRAC, PCI-DSS) and demonstrate familiarity with U.S. standards such as SOX, GLBA, and FFIEC where applicable.
  • Define integration strategies across core banking systems, policy administration platforms, payment systems, CRM platforms, and third-party fintech solutions.
  • Guide engineering teams on architecture decisions, secure coding practices, DevSecOps implementation, and cloud-native patterns.
  • Contribute to RFP responses, architecture diagrams, and executive-level presentations that translate technical solutions into measurable business outcomes.
