About the position

The Solution Architect III (Data) is a key member of the IT staff responsible for establishing data-related development and platform architectural design standards, policies, and procedures throughout the organization. This role involves leading the design, development, and management of a Consolidated Data Warehouse and data applications, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices. The architect will also oversee the effective cleansing, governance, and development of data assets to derive actionable insights, while defining how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across various systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Establish data-related development and platform architectural design standards, policies, and procedures.
• Lead the design, development, and management of the Consolidated Data Warehouse and data applications.
• Ensure architectural standards and best practices are followed in data management.
• Provide leadership in cleansing, governing, and conforming data assets.
• Design, create, deploy, and manage the company's data architecture.
• Define how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of data warehouse analysis and design experience.
• 5+ years of experience with data integration and/or data quality technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures.
• Expertise in Enterprise Data Architecture and data modeling.
• Deep understanding of data warehouses, data lakes, and data farms.
• Advanced knowledge of creating analytical data warehouses and data warehouse management.
• Experience with unstructured and semi-structured data is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing master data management policies and procedures.
• Experience with Snowflake database management is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in developing data models and reverse engineering from legacy ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Cloud IaaS architectural design using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Experience in developing machine learning and business intelligence solutions is preferred.
• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Pig, and Spark cluster environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, JSON, Scala, Python, and R language data development is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
