Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Solution Architect with expertise in AI/ML applications in industrial manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing AI/ML solutions that enhance production efficiency, improve machine uptime, and optimize overall manufacturing processes. This role will involve leading proof-of-concept (POC) projects and scaling successful solutions across multiple plants. We need to be driving innovation and operational excellence through cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML, Industry 4.0, and digital twins. The industry areas include industrial manufacturing, specializing in sectors such as wire and cable, automation, paper and pulp, and lumber. Skillset / Experience: The ideal candidate must have a proven record of developing successful proof of concepts for AI/ML in heavy manufacturing environments. The role requires the development and implementation of AI/ML models to optimize production throughput, improve quality, and increase machine uptime in manufacturing operations, with a focus on predictive maintenance to forecast equipment degradation before failures occur. Additionally, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies and digital twin models to simulate and optimize manufacturing processes is essential to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime. The Solution Architect will lead a proof-of-concept (POC) at one plant with a limited number of production lines. Upon successful completion, the candidate will guide the expansion of AI/ML solutions to over 30+ plants globally. Collaboration is key, as the architect will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, plant managers, and IT specialists, to ensure seamless integration of AI/ML solutions with existing technologies. Data integration will involve utilizing data from Rockwell Collins PLCs and Siemens PLCs that feeds through Kepware and Snowflake, with data sourced from G historian/G prophecy and then into Snowflake cloud running on GCP.
