About the position

The Solution Architect/Programmer role involves refactoring an existing custom .NET/C# Human Resources software suite hosted on Azure. The position requires collaboration with Human Resource professionals to understand their needs and communicate effectively with project sponsors. The candidate will work on Azure projects, deploying code using Azure pipelines, and will be responsible for designing solutions that meet the agency's requirements.

Responsibilities

• Refactor existing custom .NET/C# Human Resources software suite hosted on Azure.
• Work directly with Human Resource professionals to understand their needs.
• Communicate effectively with project sponsors both verbally and in writing.
• Design solutions in collaboration with IT Architecture staff and IT Managers.
• Write, review, and develop application source code following departmental standards.
• Create detailed test designs and test plans, including test data for scenarios.
• Execute unit and system test scripts, debug issues, and track defects.
• Support user acceptance testing and software implementation tasks.

Requirements

• Experience with .NET Framework and Visual Studio.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and ASP.NET MVC 5, MVC Core.
• Knowledge of Entity Framework 6.2 including LINQ to SQL and Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with Kendo UI Controls for ASP.NET MVC.
• Proficient in JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS 3.0.
• Familiarity with Azure App Service and Azure Functions.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with HR applications or processes.
• Experience working on an interface with Ohio's ERP (OAKS).
