About the position

The Solution Architect for ServiceNow, AWS, and GenAI at Travelers will lead the technology transformation efforts for the Claims Unit of a global company. This role involves collaborating with senior technology leaders to define target states and roadmaps, while leveraging modern technologies to optimize business capabilities. The architect will be responsible for creating proof of concepts, guiding engineering teams, and driving continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture responsibility within the Claims business unit.
• Conduct technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions.
• Engage in hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions.
• Partner with Software Engineering to execute proof of technologies.
• Provide architecture direction for engineers in support of a technical pattern.
• Display strong thought leadership in modern architecture principles and technology modernization.
• Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt.
• Create partnerships with Software Engineering to align skills with technology direction.
• Analyze key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterprise.
• Participate in defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps.
• Ensure alignment of IT initiatives with the target state.
• Continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of the architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of technology engineering experience.
• Experience in an agile operating model.
• Proven experience in proof of concepts and technology.
• Strong software engineering experience.
• Experience with technology modernization initiatives including migration to cloud native and API strategy.
• Current experience with AWS, APIs, accelerators, and DevSecOps.
• Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud.
• ServiceNow experience is desired.
• Good understanding of security and large-scale technology platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to advanced analytics techniques using ML and AI.
