About the position

As a Solution Architect at Walmart, you will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions that facilitate seamless integration between Channel Partners and Walmart APIs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, developing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards. You will also troubleshoot technical issues, provide guidance to partners, and stay updated with emerging technologies to drive innovation within the Walmart Marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions for Channel Partners to integrate with Walmart APIs.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and develop solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and API documentation.
• Establish and scale the solution architecture practice for Walmart Marketplace.
• Document best practice integration patterns for the MP API platform and publish on the developer portal.
• Identify gaps in API capabilities from a customer solution perspective.
• Remediate integrators using integration anti-patterns.
• Write code samples and developer sample integrations/projects.
• Provide technical consultations and guidance to strategic integrators during and after onboarding.
• Develop solution architecture programs, such as integration health scoring and built for Shopify.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to integrations.
• Collaborate with Walmart's security and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet standards.
• Provide ongoing support and technical guidance to partners.

Requirements

• An Engineering Degree - B.E/B.Tech/MS/PhD in any stream, preferably Computer Science.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in building highly resilient, highly scalable systems.
• 4+ years of experience in software development or solution architecture, focusing on integrations and APIs.
• Experience in building APIs and strong understanding of Walmart's APIs and integration protocols.
• Experience with integration technologies such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, and message queues.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Java preferred).
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
