About the position

The Solution Architect/System Administrator role at Flash Technology Group LLC is a full-time position focused on providing technical support and engineering expertise for structured networked services. The position requires a motivated individual with a strong background in systems administration and a willingness to learn new technologies. The role involves supporting the design, installation, inspection, and documentation of networked systems, as well as providing Tier III engineering support across various environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networked and disconnected computer systems, with the ability to brief outcomes to various audiences.
  • Manage the daily activities of upgrading, installing, and configuring software and computer hardware systems to support multiple system configurations.
  • Provide Tier III engineering support to a globally distributed services team using multiple hardware endpoints with VDI, Linux, Windows, Unix, and Cloud environments.
  • Design and document system configurations and changes, while occasionally working flexible hours to support SLAs and other deliverables.
  • Provide support to computer systems and component level Trade-Off Analysis & Analysis of Alternatives and contribute to draft presentations with results and recommendations.
  • Apply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
  • Perform regular security monitoring, testing, and mitigate findings.
  • Use Service Now ticketing systems.
  • Use ITIL concepts and practices, and process to complete tasks.
  • Use experience with thin and thick client endpoints, Cloud Computing, Splunk, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), VTC systems, and VoIP.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of related experience or a bachelor's degree in a STEM area and 2 years of related experience.
  • Possess an IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M such as Security + or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS degree in a STEM area with 5+ years of relevant experience and a RED Hat Certification.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, an associate degree in a technical discipline and 7+ years' experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong Linux and network/end device scanning experience.
  • Programming experience in SPLUNK.
  • Experience working with Nutanix, BIGFIX, Cribl.
  • Experience with Thin and Thick client endpoints, Cloud Computing, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), VTC systems, and VoIP.
