About the position

The Solutions Architect at Fontainebleau Las Vegas is a pivotal role within the IT team, tasked with the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions that enhance the operations of our luxury casino resort. This position requires a deep understanding of both technology and the hospitality industry, as the Solutions Architect will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that our IT systems not only meet business objectives but also elevate the guest experience. The role involves extensive collaboration with business leaders and department heads to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. As a liaison between the IT department and other business units, the Solutions Architect ensures alignment and satisfaction across the board. In addition to stakeholder collaboration, the Solutions Architect is responsible for developing and designing IT solutions that are scalable, reliable, and secure. This includes providing technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices in system architecture and software development. The role also encompasses system integration, where the Solutions Architect ensures that new solutions seamlessly integrate with existing systems while managing the lifecycle of system architecture. Comprehensive documentation of all solutions and architectural decisions is essential, as is staying updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to evaluate their potential impact on the business. Risk management is another critical aspect of this role, as the Solutions Architect must identify potential risks in proposed solutions and develop effective mitigation strategies. Furthermore, the position involves providing training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on new systems and technologies, ensuring that everyone is equipped to utilize the solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business leaders, department heads, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and gather requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Develop and design IT solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in system architecture and software development.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new solutions with existing systems and manage the lifecycle of system architecture.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all solutions and architectural decisions.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the business.
  • Identify potential risks in proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Provide training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on new systems and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a solutions architect role, preferably in the hospitality or gaming industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing complex IT systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage relationships.
  • Experience with project management and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with casino management systems and hospitality technology.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar.
  • Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
