About the position

The Solution Architect at Infosys will play a critical role in interfacing with key stakeholders and demonstrating technical proficiency throughout various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. This position involves requirements elicitation, application architecture definition, and design, as well as delivering high-quality code and leading validation for testing and support activities. The role emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence in a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements using a combination of technologies, including Java, cloud services, and middleware.
• Design and implement solutions on cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems, integrating new technologies to enhance performance and scalability.
• Utilize Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture to build robust applications.
• Implement containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for efficient deployment and scalability.
• Integrate messaging systems like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and Solace into enterprise architectures.
• Design and manage both relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Apply architectural principles, design patterns, and SOLID principles to develop high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and other architects to define system requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of innovation.
• Explore and integrate AI and ML technologies to enhance solution capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

Nice-to-haves

• At least 5 years of experience in solution architecture, system design, and enterprise application development.
• Proven experience in designing end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into functional architecture.
• Proficient in Java SE and Java EE.
• Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application development and deployment.
• Proficient in using Docker for containerization.
• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with enterprise messaging systems like IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, and Solace.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases like Oracle.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
• Proficiency in applying SOLID principles and other best practices in software design.
• Proven experience in modernizing legacy systems and integrating new technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of AI and ML technologies and their application in enterprise solutions.
