About the position

The Solutions Architect at Fontainebleau Las Vegas is a pivotal role within the IT team, tasked with the design and implementation of innovative technology solutions that bolster the operations of our luxury casino resort. This position requires extensive collaboration with various stakeholders, including business leaders and department heads, to ensure that our IT systems are not only aligned with business objectives but also enhance the overall guest experience. The Solutions Architect will engage in stakeholder collaboration to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, acting as a liaison between the IT department and other business units to ensure alignment and satisfaction. In terms of solution design, the Solutions Architect will develop IT solutions that are scalable, reliable, and secure, providing technical leadership to development teams and ensuring adherence to best practices in system architecture and software development. The role also involves ensuring seamless integration of new solutions with existing systems and managing the lifecycle of system architecture. Comprehensive documentation for all solutions and architectural decisions is essential, as is staying updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to evaluate their potential impact on the business. Risk management is another critical aspect of this role, where the Solutions Architect will identify potential risks in proposed solutions and develop appropriate mitigation strategies. Additionally, the position includes providing training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on new systems and technologies, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to handle the evolving technological landscape.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Act as a liaison between the IT department and other business units to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
• Develop and design IT solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams, ensuring best practices in system architecture and software development.
• Ensure seamless integration of new solutions with existing systems and manage the lifecycle of system architecture.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all solutions and architectural decisions.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the business.
• Identify potential risks in proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on new systems and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a solutions architect role, preferably in the hospitality or gaming industry.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and software development methodologies.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing complex IT systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage relationships.
• Experience with project management and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience with casino management systems and hospitality technology.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar.
• Experience with cybersecurity best practices.
