About the position

The Solution Architect will be responsible for building a technology vision and strategy for a solution or business domain. This role involves conducting solution analysis, design, planning, and implementation to ensure successful strategy execution. The architect will serve as the single point of contact between IT and the business, collaborating with various stakeholders to develop solution designs and lead the development team during implementation.

Responsibilities

• Build a technology vision and strategy for a solution or business domain.
• Conduct solution analysis, design, planning, and implementation for successful strategy execution.
• Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) between IT and the business for the solution.
• Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to develop a solution design for an assigned business capability.
• Work with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to shape and align product roadmap and delivery of new features.
• Present complex technical proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct POCs as needed to evaluate new technologies and approaches.
• Lead the development team during solution implementation, translating business requirements into technical language.
• Communicate effectively with the Data Architect for table design and provide a contract for the data team to create the table design.
• Work across multiple projects with various individuals and groups.
• Promote re-use through inner sourcing opportunities.
• Recognize industry technology trends and emerging technologies, driving adoption into the organization.
• Promote the mission of the company within the organization.
• Collaborate effectively and follow up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of solution architecture experience, including creating solution architecture and high-level design documents.
• Experience in solution decomposition into domains and API design.
• Experience creating epics and stories for developers and managing implementation teams.
• Experience in creating contract documents for data teams.
• Microservice design experience, including REST-based microservice APIs.
• Deep experience in AGILE/Lean development methodologies.
• Excellent knowledge and strong experience with AWS services.
• Good knowledge of containerization tools and technologies (RedHat OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong proficiency with Java and Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot), SQL and NoSQL DBMS (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB).
• Strong proficiency in Kafka message queue.
• Good understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
