About the position

The Solution Engineer III at Red River Technology LLC is a highly skilled technical sales professional responsible for providing in-depth technical information and design/implementation guidance to customers. This role involves mentoring other team members, engaging in pre-sales engineering activities, and collaborating with account executives to propose technology solutions that align with customer business outcomes. The Solution Engineer is expected to maintain OEM certifications and demonstrate expertise in various technical specializations.

Responsibilities

  • Defines technology and product recommendations, as well as architectural solutions for sales opportunities.
  • Serves as the technical point of contact and technical sales lead for the customer.
  • Provides the initial input for proposals and statements of work, ensuring alignment with customer desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge and consultative skills while working with customers and Red River team members.
  • Utilizes presales engineering skills and in-depth knowledge in at least one specialization, such as Data Center, Collaboration, Security, Microsoft Modern Workplace, Cloud, or Route/Switch/Wireless.
  • Understands Red River's offerings and solution strengths.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years work experience
  • 5 - 7 years of presales engineering experience
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Active and verified professional level OEM certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP, Cisco Certified Devnet Associate)
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn new technical information quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understanding of customer business outcomes and industry verticals.
  • Knowledge of the sales process and ability to partner with Account Executives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with multiple technologies and architectures.
  • Ability to create detailed implementation plans (SOW) for customer solutions.
