About the position

As a Solution Engineer for the Mid-Market at AppFolio, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales teams by providing technical expertise and customer-focused services. This position requires you to be a subject matter expert in technical selling, working closely with leadership to influence decisions that impact the Property Management Industry. Your responsibilities will include driving sales through product demonstrations, managing technical aspects of the sales cycle, and collaborating with various internal teams to penetrate new markets.

Responsibilities

• Enable Mid-Market sales teams with internal strategy and customer-focused services.
• Drive sales with technical acumen and product expertise.
• Conduct customer needs analyses and assist in overcoming objections.
• Deliver technical sales presentations and product demonstrations.
• Participate in customer-facing events such as trade shows and meet-ups.
• Work cross-functionally with product development, engineering, services, and marketing teams.
• Assist sales leadership in best practices and strategies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of direct, hands-on technical software experience in a customer-facing role as a Sales Solution Engineer.
• Experience selling, demonstrating, supporting, or implementing SaaS applications.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build extraordinary relationships with customers and team members.
• Foundational understanding of software sales and the role of a Solution Engineer.
• Ability to diagnose prospect needs and deliver solutions to clients.

Nice-to-haves

• PropTech Industry experience strongly preferred.
• Accounting understanding preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, Google Docs.

• Base salary range of $68,800-$86,000 based on skills and experience.
• Eligibility for additional benefits and bonuses/commissions for regular full-time employees.
