About the position

Obligo is seeking a highly skilled Solution Engineer to join our team in New York, NY. As the second Solution Engineer in the company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation of Obligo products for our most complex and strategically important partner accounts. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing value and fostering growth with our partners, making this position integral to our operations. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with various teams, including Sales, Business Development, Customer Success, Product, and Research and Development. The Solution Engineer will be responsible for becoming the company expert in our product suite and configuration space, ensuring that new instances of our solutions are implemented effectively. You will serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding client partners, focusing on the technical components necessary for customer success. Your responsibilities will include configuring our solutions to meet customer needs, advising senior stakeholders on best practices, and working with our go-to-market team to address product technical questions. You will also assist the Sales team in analyzing partner use cases and advising on potential implementation timelines. Additionally, you will interface with our Research and Development team to ensure successful project implementations and establish a repeatable framework for partner implementation and delivery. As a Solution Engineer, you will maintain a repository of best practices and solutions for partner implementations across various Obligo products, partner types, tech stacks, and use cases. You will also become an expert in leading Property Management and Leasing software, such as Yardi, MRI, and Entrata, and how these systems interact with Obligo products. Your insights will be valuable in recommending new product features and associated requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Become the company expert in our product suite, configuration space, and how to implement new instances of our solution
  • Be the point person for onboarding of client partners, focused on technical components designed to ensure customer success
  • Configure our solutions to fit customer needs by using flagging and content management systems
  • Advise senior stakeholders within partners accounts on Obligo best practices and potential changes to their business processes to maximize the value and user experience with Obligo products
  • Work closely with our go to market team for all product technical questions
  • Assist the Sales team during the sales process to analyze partner use cases and advise on solutions/potential implementation timelines
  • Interface closely with our Research and Development team to ensure successful project implementations of Obligo products
  • Establish a repeatable framework for partner implementation and delivery
  • Maintain a repository of best practices and solutions for partner implementations across a variety of Obligo products, partner types, tech stacks, and use cases
  • Become an expert in leading Property Management and Leasing software (such as Yardi, MRI, Entrata) and how those systems interact with Obligo products
  • Recommend new product features and associated detailed requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years technical and/or project management experience
  • Highly organized with a problem-solving mindset
  • Experience with accounting softwares is ideal
  • Understanding of accounting principles is a plus
  • A deep understanding of SaaS platforms and API models
  • A willingness to experiment, make mistakes and learn
  • A certification in project management or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the real estate software industry a plus
  • Must reside (or plan to reside) in NYC metro area
