The HR Technology team at Meta is dedicated to creating and delivering a seamless and positive employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle. We lead with care and empathy, developing efficient and straightforward people processes, systems, policies, and programs. Our goal is to provide useful and accurate data that informs People-related strategies across the business. We focus on developing technology-driven solutions that scale and automate common employee activities, ensuring that Meta remains protected and compliant while also managing People knowledge and building project management capability across the company. We strive to ensure that employees feel heard and supported during the most significant moments of their careers. We are seeking a Solution Portfolio Manager to join our HR Technology team. This role will be pivotal in driving portfolio, program, and project execution, as well as managing rollup reporting and communication, and roadmap prioritization planning within the portfolio. The Solution Portfolio Manager will facilitate collaboration across teams and partners, including business and engineering organizations, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and utilizing data insights to optimize project objectives and resource allocation. The ideal candidate will possess industry expertise and thrive in managing multiple technology programs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent portfolios and/or programs with multiple work streams that require cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with Solution Design and People Engineering teams to drive execution of technology solutions that best serve the People@ goals.
  • Establish success metrics for the technology portfolio and ensure program performance is tracked and measured, clearly articulating project impact for prioritization and preparing resources for on-time delivery.
  • Lead and manage large-scale projects through planning, development, launch, stabilization, and user adoption.
  • Manage periodic updates to process documentation such as points of contact, process steps, workflows, and system access, while proactively improving existing processes and addressing pain points through automation and streamlining.
  • Keep track of technology portfolio progress by managing project scope and timeline, informing stakeholders of next steps and responsibilities, setting up meeting agendas, and circulating meeting notes.
  • Ensure project sponsors and stakeholders are regularly engaged for input and consultation, communicate any emerging risks and corresponding mitigation plans, and provide transparent and timely reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Take a broad perspective to problems, examining them from different angles and weighing pros and cons to finalize the go-forward approach.
  • Help build and refine communication strategies to drive cross-functional collaboration and innovation.
  • Advocate for a data-driven approach across the organization and influence solution design outcomes in cross-functional settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Technical and Analytical Program Management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across various levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of technical project management, SDLC methodology, and waterfall/agile project execution.
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of the latest HR technology and infrastructure.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Agile Project Management certification.
  • Experience coordinating technical specifications across platforms and disciplines.
  • Understanding of industry platforms in the HR Tech space, including Salesforce and Workday.
