About the position

The Solution Support Associate role at Lumen is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to make connections in the digital innovation space. This position is part of the Solutions Engineer Academy, a comprehensive training program that prepares individuals for a successful career in technology sales. The role involves collaborating with sales teams to develop customer solutions, support service delivery, and identify new revenue opportunities, all while enhancing business growth through effective communication and technical understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a collaborative team environment to develop and document customer requirements, solution designs, service configurations, and project scopes of work.
  • Support field Solutions Engineering teams to identify and develop additional revenue opportunities.
  • Provide discovery, support, and education to customers and internal personnel on service-related questions or issues.
  • Research, define, and document service change requests in support of service modification.
  • Assist customers in identifying and defining technical problems, designing solutions, and implementing fixes.
  • Uncover and define customer solution and business development strategies, including recommending technology roadmaps.
  • Present Lumen capabilities and solution concepts to internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in marketing and networking events with customer technical and business contacts.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to Solutions Engineering leadership for process and service improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Telecom, Networking, or a similar field.
  • Entry-level opportunity ideal for new or recent graduates with less than 2 years of experience.
  • Basic understanding of communications, cloud, application, and information technologies.
  • Strong communication skills to convey business and technology concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups of professionals.
  • Ability to show urgency and drive issues to completion.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and passionate about customer service and technology.
