About the position

The Solutions Architect at Long View is responsible for leading Data Technical Presales efforts, focusing on the design, architecture, and implementation of data solutions within the Data & Dynamics Practice. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure and Data Analytics to effectively address client requirements and deliver innovative solutions that enhance business value. The position emphasizes collaboration, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to build long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance, demonstrations, and product education as required.
  • Ensure technology designs and implementations solve clients' requirements and challenges.
  • Support Long View's Business Applications and Data Modernization portfolio by defining customer solutions and delivering innovative engagements.
  • Analyze complex requirements and develop IT strategies and multi-technology solutions aligned with industry best practices.
  • Create relevant documentation including conceptual design, logical and physical designs, bill of materials, and transition to operations information.
  • Follow best practices for DataOps and contribute to the creation and grooming of a program backlog of features and tasks.
  • Develop estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), and proposals outlining professional services required to meet client requirements.
  • Assist with hosting presentations and education sessions such as Lunch & Learns.
  • Align with clients to build long-term relationships that further business value for both the client and Long View.
  • Stay abreast of architectural and industry changes, especially in Cloud and Data Analytics.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in industry working as a developer and subject matter expert in data analytics with Azure.
  • 5+ years of experience advising on, managing, and successfully delivering cloud technical solutions focused on Data and Analytics.
  • Significant experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, Azure LogicApps, Azure Resource Manager, and Powershell.
  • Experience with at least two programming languages such as Python, Scala, Spark, R, TSQL, or PLSQL.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences.
  • Familiarity with Lambda and Lakehouse architecture principles.
  • Comfort working in complex environments and ability to grasp new technology concepts rapidly.
  • Capability to work with both business and technical stakeholders to elicit and understand requirements.
  • Experience with and/or understanding of DataOps principles.
  • General Database Administrator skills and knowledge.
  • Experience with the setup and configuration of Power BI.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Azure Cognitive Services, Stream Analytics, Delta Lake, IoT Hub, Event Hub, Azure SQL, Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  • Experience with PowerPlatform (Dataflex, PowerApps, PowerAutomate, PowerVirtualAgent).
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud migration strategies.
  • Experience with Master Data products such as Informatica, Profisee, or Data Quality Services.
