About the position

The Solutions Architect for the AWS DoD Team will act as a trusted technical advisor to Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers, focusing on designing and architecting advanced cloud-based solutions tailored to their business and technical needs. This role involves collaborating with both external stakeholders and internal AWS teams to address complex, mission-critical challenges, while promoting the adoption of AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor to Department of Defense & Intelligence Community customers.
• Design and architect advanced cloud-based solutions that meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop and execute sales strategies for AWS adoption.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions.
• Conduct training sessions to share knowledge about AWS services and solutions.
• Capture and share best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations.
• Act as a liaison between customers and AWS service engineering teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of experience in specific technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications (CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSSLP).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience in migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
• Experience with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
