About the position

The Solutions Architect for Early Access Programs at OpenAI is a technical leadership role focused on managing and driving early access (alpha/beta) programs for new AI products. This position involves collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure successful program execution, from customer recruitment to feedback synthesis, ultimately informing product development and enhancing customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the end-to-end process for early access programs, including developing program structure, customer recruitment, onboarding, technical prototyping, feedback synthesis, offboarding, and communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement structured product feedback approaches that streamline the collection, execution, and analysis of user feedback during early access programs.
  • Deliver quantitative and qualitative insights to inform the product roadmap and product positioning.
  • Enable customers through deep expertise and hands-on technical problem solving, serving as the first line of technical support.
  • Troubleshoot and triage issues, help produce code and documentation to enable builders during the early stage of product testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address more complex technical feedback.
  • Support customer model evaluation and prototype development by partnering with Solution Architects and Engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a solutions architect, software engineer, or product manager working with startups and/or large enterprises.
  • Proven experience in a technical environment, working with cross-functional teams to drive product programs, define requirements, and navigate key milestones.
  • Proven experience leading customer-facing projects that have made a lasting impact on product and design decisions.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with exceptional communication abilities.
  • A passion for building products from scratch, including prototypes using our API platform.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript and a strong grasp of AI/LLM best practices.
