About the position

As a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will collaborate with major financial services companies to design and implement scalable cloud architectures that solve business challenges and promote the adoption of AWS services. This role combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to drive revenue growth and ensure successful cloud migrations for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AWS Sales and other teams to craft scalable cloud architectures for financial services customers.
• Drive revenue growth by formulating and executing sales strategies for AWS solutions.
• Own the technical relationship with customers, providing recommendations on security, cost, performance, and reliability.
• Educate customers on AWS value propositions and participate in architectural discussions for successful cloud deployments.
• Conduct training sessions to share knowledge with customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.
• Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customer organizations to promote cloud advocacy.
• Act as a liaison between customers and AWS service engineering teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 2+ years of IT development or consulting experience in the software or Internet industries.
• Proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting.
• Strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions and experience as a systems engineer/architect.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
