Solutions Architect, Nonprofit Health

About the position

The Solutions Architect role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focuses on helping not-for-profit healthcare providers implement innovative cloud computing solutions. This position involves engaging with customers to enhance the experience of patients and clinicians through technical problem-solving and the application of AWS technologies. The Solutions Architect will lead technical engagements, define implementation architectures, and serve as a subject matter expert on security related to customer applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs.
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad knowledge of application and service construction using the AWS platform.
• Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics.
• Experience working with a healthcare provider, payor, or in the healthcare industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Design, implementation, or consulting experience with Epic EHR.
• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS services.
• Prior experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
• Understanding of infrastructure and security requirements, such as HIPAA, CJIS, etc.
• Demonstrated experience leading or developing high-quality, enterprise-scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle.
