About the position

The Solution Architect will serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on network security. This role requires a recognized technical thought leader who can think strategically about solution areas while possessing in-depth knowledge of specific technical elements. The Solution Architect will be responsible for bringing technical credibility to accounts, presenting solutions to customers, and providing pre-sales and go-to-market support for strategic accounts. Collaboration with the Sales Specialist is essential for driving sales pursuits and pipeline growth. Additionally, the Solution Architect will maintain technical vendor relationships with key partners and stay updated on advancements in solutions relevant to the role. This position emphasizes a security focus, ensuring that the architect is well-versed in the latest security technologies and practices. In this role, the Solution Architect will partner with business leaders to deliver services that align with company objectives and adhere to the values of Winning Together. The architect will provide deep subject matter expertise and demonstrate a willingness to engage in tactical work. Responsibilities include defining and executing the Go to Market (GTM) strategy, engaging with key accounts to build credibility, and developing technical solutions. The architect will also create comprehensive technical design documentation, including Technical Presentations, Visio Diagrams, Level of Effort (LOE), and Bill of Materials (BOM). Participation in customer opportunity and strategy meetings is crucial to understanding and articulating both business and technical strategies. The Solution Architect will qualify designs and opportunities, produce technical architecture documentation, and work closely with vendors to stay informed about current and future technologies. Acting as the Design Authority for key accounts, the architect will work on enterprise-scale, mission-critical projects and collaborate with peers to recommend future technologies and services. Researching technology and producing white papers to promote Computacenter's offerings will also be part of the role. Continuous self-development and industry awareness are essential, as is the management of customer demonstrations and Proofs of Concept. The architect will also be responsible for developing service offerings that utilize newly released products, ensuring that functionality claims are valid and that proposed solutions meet customer needs. Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and align with Winning Together values.

  • Deliver technical marketing, thought leadership, and related support.
  • Define and execute the Go to Market (GTM) strategy.
  • Engage with key accounts to develop credibility and build technical solutions.
  • Stay current on technical solutions and engage with vendors.
  • Create in-depth technical design documentation including Technical Presentations, Visio Diagrams, Level of Effort (LOE), and Bill of Materials (BOM).

  • Qualify designs or opportunities and produce technical architecture/design documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors/partners to stay updated on current and future technologies.
  • Act as Design Authority for nominated key accounts.
  • Work as a technical designer on enterprise-scale, mission-critical customer projects.
  • Advise and recommend on future technology and services with peers.
  • Research technology and deliver associated white papers to promote offerings.
  • Maintain a high level of industry awareness through training and self-development.
  • Manage customer demonstrations and Proofs of Concept.
  • Develop service offerings utilizing newly released products, ensuring functionality claims are valid.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are valid and meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of presales engineering and solutioning experience.
  • Understanding of a broad range of technology and adaptability to new advancements.
  • Technology implementation experience is preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more technology disciplines such as enterprise infrastructure, data center infrastructure, cybersecurity, collaboration, or hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client engagement and deliver solutions architecture presentations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Vendor certifications as required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to design in-depth, complex technical solutions.
  • Relevant industry-leading qualifications or accreditations in one or more technology areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure technology and its business applications.
  • Demonstrable ability to provide input into commercial/technical documents and develop solution-specific business cases.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Industry-leading knowledge in a specialist technology area.
  • Understanding of services methodology.
