About the position

The Business Systems Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing technical business solutions for our client in Memphis. This position is not only about creating solutions but also about overseeing the execution of projects to ensure they meet the defined objectives. The architect will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills, as the architect will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. In this role, the Solutions Architect will develop comprehensive solution designs that align with business requirements and technical specifications. This includes evaluating existing systems and technologies to identify areas for improvement and integration. The architect will create detailed design documentation, which encompasses scope, diagrams, specifications, and prototypes, ensuring that all aspects of the solution are well-documented and understood by all parties involved. Project management is a critical component of this position. The architect will define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams. They will develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, while also monitoring project progress and implementing mitigation strategies for any identified risks or issues. Financial management is also key, as the architect will manage project budgets to ensure resources are allocated efficiently. Stakeholder engagement is essential for the success of the projects. The architect will facilitate communication between stakeholders and technical resources, ensuring alignment and addressing any potential concerns. Regular status meetings will be conducted to provide updates and progress reports to stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Quality assurance is another important aspect of this role. The architect will ensure that all solutions adhere to best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes conducting reviews and audits of project deliverables to ensure quality and completeness, as well as implementing testing and validation processes to verify solution performance. Finally, the architect will be expected to drive continuous improvement by remaining current with emerging technologies and industry trends. They will recommend improvements to processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance project outcomes and share knowledge and best practices with the team to promote continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, Project Manager, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or a similar role.
  • Comprehension of IT infrastructure, applications, development, and/or systems integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically, analytically, and creatively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels of an organization.
