About the position
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect Tech Acceleration Solutions (TAS) team partners with customers, and AWS Tech builders to design and build of some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS TAS Solutions Architects build innovative solutions with Tech Builders to help customers accelerate their adoption of AWS cloud with minimal effort. Solution Architects in the TAS organization collaborate with customers, AWS Global Sales and Tech builders, to minimize customers effort to use and integrate AWS Cloud services.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal stakeholders to align priorities and collaborate with AWS field staff to identify and work on opportunities to improve productivity through building new tools, enablement content, and customer-facing artifacts including AWS Solutions, blog posts, and proofs of concept.
- Engage in all elements of solutions design and engineering including software development, testing, documentation, customer presentations and demos, and support.
- Participate in regular show and tell activities and internal/external presentations about areas of expertise.
- Attend social events and team retrospectives to foster team cohesion.
Requirements
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective.
