About the position

The Solutions Architect at BlackHawk Data LLC is responsible for designing and implementing IT system architectures tailored to meet specific business requirements. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and integration of solutions with existing hardware and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IT system architectures that meet specific business requirements.
  • Design information solutions and integrate them with computer hardware to meet specific business needs.
  • Gather requirements, evaluate existing systems, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver the right solution.
  • Examine current business architectural designs and work with other professionals to ensure successful implementation of such designs and completion of projects.
  • Explain the business requirements to the engineering teams and lead them into a successful project.
  • Work closely with clients and the Account Teams to understand their business needs and design unique plans to tackle the IT need of each business or client.
  • Go onsite as needed for client design meetings with the Account Team and act as a point of escalation as it relates to your designs/projects.
  • Design and build networks around Cisco, Fortinet, Arista, Zscaler and many others.
  • Have a vast understanding of core infrastructure, wireless, security and other areas.
  • Set and meet target goals.
  • Set and meet SLAs for getting details to the client.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, preferably in the VAR (Value-Added Reseller) space.
  • Experience in designing and building networks around Cisco, Fortinet, Arista, Zscaler, and other platforms.
  • Vast understanding of core infrastructure, wireless, security, and other related areas.
  • Ability to pass required presales vendor certifications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information to clients and internal engineering staff.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Previous hands-on engineering experience is a plus.
