About the position

The Solutions Architect role involves architecting complex solutions and product management specifically for Payment and Fraud solutions within an enterprise environment. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure that implementation aligns with design expectations, while also serving as a subject matter expert in the relevant capabilities. The architect will participate in design reviews, align with key stakeholders, and contribute to the architecture community of practice.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery teams in creating detailed solution roadmaps for specific capabilities or systems.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project management to ensure implementation meets design expectations.
• Act as the subject matter expert for capabilities in the portfolio and engage with the Architecture Community of Practice.
• Work with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Owners, and Engineers to define project requirements and success criteria.
• Guide the design throughout the development lifecycle and participate in architecture design reviews.
• Align with key stakeholders and apply learnings to architecture solutions.
• Evaluate, document, and escalate alterations to future state architectures.
• Communicate trade-offs in engineering and architecture processes and adjust team processes as needed.
• Contribute to the growth of the architecture community by attending and presenting at community events.

Requirements

• Experience as a Solutions Architect in an enterprise environment architecting complex solutions and product management for Payment and Fraud solutions.
• Experience with Payments from a Fraud/Security perspective, including designing for specific security threat models.
• Experience with AWS services, including developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software systems in cloud-based environments.
• Minimum 5 years of real-world experience in software systems development and maintenance, primarily in cloud services.
• BS/BA in a technology-related discipline or relevant industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Payments and fraud experience for retail or eCommerce businesses is strongly preferred.
• Deep hands-on experience using compute, networking, storage, and database components in Amazon AWS.
• Ability to describe basic and advanced security and compliance aspects of cloud platform primitives.
