About the position

The Solutions Architect at SDV International will play a pivotal role in advancing AI and digital transformation initiatives within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position involves developing innovative AI-driven solutions that enhance decision-making and improve mission outcomes, particularly through the Search Portfolio. The architect will work on applications like GAMECHANGER and YETI, contributing to the development of scalable solutions that empower leaders and warfighters with critical information. The role requires collaboration with a diverse team to tackle complex challenges and create impactful solutions for national security.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess software development and data processing requirements to determine optimum, cost-effective solutions.
• Understand technical requirements, aligning them to business goals and translating into architectures capable of handling complex search queries across large datasets.
• Support and work with a hybrid team of analysts, engineers, and developers to build and deploy complex search tools and analytical capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists, UX designers, developers, and testers to create cohesive designs for scalable solutions.
• Optimize software designs and architectures to meet performance targets and devise methodologies to capture performance metrics.

Requirements

• 5-7 years professional experience in Python and/or R.
• 5-7 years professional experience in big data programming languages: Python, Scala, or Java.
• Direct work with Elasticsearch and related indexing technologies.
• Significant experience with AI/ML model development, containerization, and productization.
• In-depth understanding of natural language processing (NLP) and the use of Large Language Models.
• Direct experience with containerized and Apache Spark-based computing environments for processing unstructured text data.
• Experience with Graph construction and reasoning, including property graph model frameworks and Neo4J.
• Experience with cloud-based computing environments: AWS or GCS and GovCloud.
• Professional experience in direct support of military or intelligence community customers.
• Direct work in cyber security compliance and secure software development methodologies.
