About the position

Centrifuge LLC is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of system architecture and infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the architecture aligns with program vision and requirements, while also maintaining and enhancing assigned systems. The position is permanent and located in Arlington, VA, requiring a US Citizen for work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall solution architecture activities and ensure proper execution of target architecture per program vision and requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, BAs, Agile leads, and other solution architects to design, plan, and execute target architecture iteratively.
  • Design data architecture including collection, transformation, storage, and consumption.
  • Ensure correct implementation and application of technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with a full spectrum of IT audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Apply DevSecOps principles and practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and automation.
  • Implement AWS Cloud networking and application best practices, including container orchestration and serverless architecture.
  • Design high availability, resilient, and low latency system architecture.
  • Secure data at rest and in transit, adhering to DHS/ICE security guidelines and compliance.
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Utilize data exchange formats and protocols like JSON, XML, HTTP, REST, GraphQL, and SOAP.
  • Manage data exchange, message queuing, data streaming, and ETL processes using tools like ActiveMQ, Kafka, JMS, and Nifi.
  • Implement data indexing, search, and analytics using technologies like Elasticsearch, Spark, Databricks, and Delta Lake.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment leading major systems development and integration efforts across mixed platforms.
