About the position

The Solutions CAD Designer at Amazon Robotics is responsible for creating and modifying detailed drawings using CAD hardware and software based on sketches, layouts, or notes provided by engineering teams. This role is pivotal in contributing design modifications that facilitate the installation of systems, ensuring that all drawings conform to project input and established standards. The designer will collaborate closely with engineers to ensure model accuracy, adherence to design and drafting standards, and proper documentation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR). Additionally, the position may involve managing system files, including maintenance, backup, and storage, to ensure efficient workflow and data integrity. In this role, you will engage in various responsibilities that include conducting interference checks on CAD drawings, performing quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and quality of the drawings, and generating output files for partner teams. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; mechanical, industrial, process, or a related field
  • Experience using AutoCAD and commercial off-the-shelf technologies for CAD automation
  • Experience working with CAD drawings and design standards
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate well with teams
  • Desire and energy to work in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Some experience with process design based on Lean Principles
