About the position

The Solutions Consultant at Smartsheet is responsible for driving quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction by assisting clients in designing, building, and implementing Smartsheet solutions tailored to their business objectives. This role focuses on post-sales engagements, requiring strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to convert business requirements into effective Smartsheet solutions across various industries. The position offers a significant opportunity to impact customer success and is remote eligible within the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent engagements to implement Smartsheet across various client industries and use cases.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand clients' current processes, challenges, and future requirements to design custom Smartsheet solutions.
  • Build Smartsheet solutions through prototyping, iterative build sprints, and client demonstrations, incorporating feedback.
  • Manage all aspects of projects, including timelines, deliverables, scope, budget, and client relations.
  • Advise on best practices and capabilities of the Smartsheet platform across different industries and functions.
  • Collaborate with consulting team members on projects and personal development, participating in the onboarding mentor program.
  • Review and validate solution designs through internal testing and facilitate end-user acceptance testing with stakeholders.
  • Identify product and service expansion opportunities with the customer's user base and collaborate with the account team.
  • Provide post-engagement feedback to account team members regarding additional product and service opportunities.
  • Maintain target billable utilization aligned to the role.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-5 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) to explain technical subjects to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and communicate proactively about engagement risks or blockers.
  • High level of motivation, self-starter, and excellent follow-up skills.
