About the position

The Solutions Consultant at Stova plays a crucial role in collaborating with global Sales teams and clients to provide technical expertise and drive the successful closure of key business opportunities. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen, as the consultant will educate clients on the technical aspects of Stova's award-winning event management SaaS products, ensuring a smooth sales process and enhancing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the sales team with technical hurdles during the sales cycle, including product configuration, APIs, and integration with third-party systems.
  • Providing technical guidance throughout the sales process to help reduce the time to sale.
  • Determining prospective client technology requirement trends to aid in planning and building best practice sales proposals.
  • Assisting with presenting proposals during prospective client meetings, focusing on the technical functionality of Stova's products.
  • Creating and delivering product demonstrations to clients, both remotely and in person.
  • Assisting sales teams in discovering key upsell opportunities among the client base.
  • Verifying findings from discovery meetings with clients and accurately documenting client needs.
  • Completing RFPs/RFIs/security documents as part of customer requirements.
  • Creating and delivering product presentations to public webinar and in-person event audiences.
  • Participating in knowledge-sharing and technical training of internal Sales teams to enhance their expertise.
  • Participating in weekly sales meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining sales demo resources, tools, and proposal templates.
  • Working with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to bridge technical gaps for prospects and customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology or technology sales, including SaaS and cloud-based products.
  • Strong technical, customer-facing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to quickly build credibility among team members and existing clients.
  • Understanding of the middleman role between delivery and sales, focusing on closing business regarding messaging, approach, and differentiators.
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS) through work in the industry or consulting.
  • Strong background in cloud computing solutions, strategy, implementation, management, systems design, hosting infrastructure, and security.
  • Meetings and Events Industry experience is strongly desired.
  • Strong scoping and estimation skills.
  • Skilled in recognizing client needs to demonstrate the right solutions and manage client expectations appropriately.
  • Familiarity with multiple implementation standards and integration tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Business, Marketing, or Computer Science/Engineering is preferred.
