About the position
RetSci is seeking a motivated and passionate Solutions Consultant to join our fast-growing Delivery team. This role involves becoming an expert in vendor partners' software products, assisting with configuration and delivery of solutions to customers, and supporting them as they adopt these solutions. The position focuses on optimizing inventory and sales processes through effective software implementation and consulting services.
Responsibilities
- Participate in client design workshops and document technical requirements and solution design requirements
- Communicate with client IT teams regarding data and interface needs
- Understand retail data and concepts
- Become an expert in the implemented solutions
- Prototype the solution and present it to clients
- Look for creative solutions to optimize tool performance
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail, focus, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Excel or Excel-type solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Ability to create and maintain strong cross-functional internal and client relationships
- Collaborative attitude and working style
- Ability to lead projects and work with minimal supervision
- Bachelor's degree in business or technology disciplines (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science)
- 3-5+ years of consulting or process design experience for software delivery, or 3+ years working for a retailer in planning, buying, allocation, or forecasting
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with RELEX solutions or Oracle retail analytics solutions
- Experience in retail PL/SQL
- Experience leading projects and managing timelines/resources/financials
