About the position

The Design Engineering Intern at EnvelopiQ is a paid internship that provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technology solutions design. Interns will collaborate with the Sales team to assess customer needs and develop detailed proposals, while also engaging in various engineering tasks to support project execution. This role is designed to offer broad exposure to the technology solutions field, with flexible start and end dates from May to August 2025.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sales team to assess the needs of potential customers across various technologies.
• Develop detailed scopes of work and supporting documentation, such as conceptual solutions, diagrams, and workflows.
• Assist in preparing product submittals.
• Contribute to the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Handle various tasks related to project reporting, including tracking project activities and progress.
• Create project drawings, specifications, and schematics to support the installation of low-voltage systems.
• Shadow installation and project teams in the field to gain hands-on experience.
• Conduct research on industry trends, technologies, and materials to support design initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Familiarity with design and modeling software (e.g., CAD tools, simulation software).
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A growth mindset dedicated to continuous learning and improvement.
