About the position

We are seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic sales team, focusing on driving the adoption of AI solutions across various industries. This role involves identifying potential clients, understanding their specific needs, and providing tailored AI solutions that enhance business operations. The Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role in facilitating the success of Cisco Field Sales teams in selling the full suite of Cloud and AI infrastructure solutions, particularly in data center virtualization and systems architecture.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of AI solutions across various industries.
• Identify potential clients and understand their specific needs.
• Provide tailored AI solutions that enhance business operations.
• Facilitate the success of Cisco Field Sales teams in selling Cloud and AI infrastructure solutions.
• Position data center virtualization and systems architecture solutions effectively against competing offerings.
• Demonstrate solutions and architectures in Cloud and AI infrastructure.
• Work with global clients from the APJC region with subsidiaries in the U.S. and Europe.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technical presales experience selling Data Center and Hybrid Cloud solutions including Compute and Data Center Switching.
• Deep understanding of Data Center network and compute architectural designs.
• Deep knowledge of Data Center enterprise applications, virtualization technologies, and operational toolsets.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging workshops to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree is a plus.
• Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP or CCIE).
• Knowledge of Cisco Nexus, ACI and UCS solutions.
• Understanding of AI architectures and infrastructure products.
• Experience designing Converged infrastructure and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions.
• Proficiency with automation tool sets (Ansible, Terraform) with a strong focus on DC switching and compute.
• Foundational software development skills e.g. Python.
