About the position

The Solutions Engineer for Autonomous Mobile Robots at Magna will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by providing technical expertise and insights related to manufacturing material handling solutions. This position involves engaging with prospects and customers to assess their needs, conducting product demonstrations, and facilitating system designs. The role requires travel within the region to support sales efforts and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sales Team to build and close business by providing technical support for autonomous mobile robotics solutions.
• Develop concept system designs including robot counts, productivity estimates, and descriptions of operations.
• Provide technical support and insights during discovery and roadmap calls with customers.
• Facilitate system demonstrations and site visits for prospects.
• Perform data analysis to assess customer requirements.
• Support the sales team in proposal development, including ROI and savings estimates.
• Assist in implementations alongside the customer's technical staff.
• Provide technical context during competitive comparison calls.
• Represent the New Mobility group during onsite customer visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the robotics, automotive, or aerospace industry.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing use cases and layouts.
• Experience with manufacturing automation solutions.
• Familiarity with MES and related logistics business software.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with autonomous robots and their system limitations.
